My two loves: Ayurveda & Yoga. I like to think I do my best work within the powerful intersection of these two ancient sister sciences that seek harmony and balance between body, mind, and spirit. Ayurveda helps me be strong with nurturing routines, sumptuous foods, and healing herbs. Yoga keeps me moving, breathing deep, and feeling centered and calm. I consider myself a life-long student of both and the more I learn, the more I enjoy their many gifts.

My mission is to empower women with a natural, holistic approach to support health so you can be strong, vibrant, and content. My focus is on your whole well being including mental, emotional, and spiritual. I lean on the time-tested wisdom of Ayurveda and Yoga, ancient healing systems of India, and add a contemporary twist to address today’s challenges.

Read on for more information about my background and training.

Ayurveda

I’ve been practicing as an Ayurvedic Practitioner (CAP) since 2012 after graduating from Kanyakumari Ayurveda & Yoga Center (Glendale, WI) where I was also trained in Ayurvedic body therapies (CPT). I was a faculty member there from 2013-2016 and supervised Ayurvedic Health Counselor interns until 2018. I'm a founding member of the Milwaukee Ayurveda Collective based at the Well-Rounded Maternity Center where I see private consultation and yoga clients and will soon be offering Ayurvedic body therapies.

I was lucky to study with Ysha Oaks of Sacred Window from 2011-13 before her untimely passing in 2015. She inspired and guided me to support women and their growing families through Ayurveda. Since studying with her, my practice has been focused on fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and child care. Having two young children of my own, I’ve seen how Ayurveda can lovingly support the whole family.

Yoga

I received my yoga training in 2008 at the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Wellness (Stockbridge, MA) and have been teaching ever since. I've returned many times as a faculty assistant for their 200-hour YTT program and continue to work towards my 500-hour YTT. I've been training yoga teachers-to-be in Prenatal and Ayurveda since 2011 at Yama Yoga (Milwaukee) and have recently joined forces with Amy C. Bluhm to train prenatal yoga teachers at the Milwaukee Prenatal Yoga Center/Womb Room. I teach weekly prenatal and private postnatal yoga classes at Well-Rounded Maternity Center. In 2018, I earned the status of Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 200) through Yoga Alliance as I completed 1,000 hours of teaching.

Current Memberships: Ayurveda Association of Wisconsin, CARE Network, Holistic Moms of Milwaukee, Milwaukee Ayurveda Collective, National Ayurvedic Medical Association (Professional), & Yoga Alliance.
